One last question about respiratory acidosis?!
Question: do you know which life threatening heart rhythms would you see due to respiratory acidosis before and during cardiac arrest
due to this respiratory acidosis from certain conditions as you have described like drug overdose, severe asthma or emphysema? Can it be ventricular fibrillation, sinus bradycardia, slow idioventricular rhythm or

Usually, in a respiratory distress situation, the heart rates are increased and tend to be V fib and V tach. Most of the idioventricular rhythms or sinus brady is seen with other causative factors, the respiratory failure being secondary to metabolic or cardiac issues.
