Can you get STDs from someone who uses your toilet when they have STDs?!

Question: STDs are not passed by coming in contact with a toilet seat. Most STDs are only transmitted during sexual contact, either by skin-to-skin contact or through body fluid exchange. Crabs, or pubic lice, may be transmitted through sexual contact, sleeping in infected bedding, sharing infected clothing and possibly through sitting on an infested toilet seat. However, lice cannot survive away from the human body for longer than 24 hours. So contracting pubic lice from a toilet seat is possible, but it's unlikely.

i always wondered that..but i dont think you can.

No. And take this opportunity and learning experience to properly educate yourself. Don't take strangers' opinions and advice on Yahoo Answers when it comes to sex and STD education!!

Yes, for certain. They should scrub it down with bleach several times after each use. That's why you should NEVER EVER sit on a public toilet seat. It is highly contagious and could be deadly under the right circumstances.

Their fluids would have to come in contact with your mucous membranes. This would not happen during the course of normal toilet usage.

Only crabs can be contracted from a toilet seat. The other STD's have to be caught sexually, that's why they're called "sexually transmitted" diseases. Don't worry, but if you do, just wype it with hand sanitizer.

idk bbut i have had 2 friends who said that they did and they are virgins.. the onlything i can in which that can be possible is if you dont clean your self, then god knows what you'll have... but i really dont thinks so lice and crabs and other topical bugs and stuff but not stds

i think the only thing you can catch is crabs

if any bodily fluids are left on the toilet seat, then yes there is a possibilty

STDs CAN be transmitted via toilet seat contact; for example, if you have an STD and even a microscopic bit of your urine gets on the seat and someone else sits on it the organism can travel to that other person. These germs are not the size of cockroaches (pardon the pun) you know. They can also travel through microscopic tears in condoms, allowing HIV and any other STD through.

crabs can, but STDs cannot live outside the body for very long at all
