It's not difficult to diagnose. Usually it's pretty straightforward, and with an EEG there is a diagnosis. Otherwise, it's symptom based. If you have reoccurring seizures, you're epileptic. I'm epileptic. My EEG was normal. But, I was having frequent grand mal seizures. On medication, I don't have them. It was pretty easy to diagnose.
I Have Epilepsy ,
I Think Its Cause All Symptoms Are Diffrent ...
And Its To Do With You'r Brain Soo They Carnt Mess About.
to diagnose epilepsy there must be a history significant to conduct tests,or the patient has suffered from at least an attack ,like EEG ,and its also a matter of exclude diagnosis ,many things can cause atatcks like hypoglycaemia ,it aint a simple task
I agree with reifguy, all epilepsy is different and mine was different from others. I underwent a lot of tests, MRI's and EEG's plus the Electrodes implanted in between my skull and brain to find the exact location of the problem. Some people take seizures because of lack of daily things needed and it's not epilepsy. I'm just glad I kept going after the problem and not worrying because this will be the 10th year since my operation and I've been seizure free since.
