Mucinex... noisey breathing... head and chest congestion question?!

Question: I have a very bad cold. Fever, chills, sweating, sneezing, head and chest congestion and LOTS of rattling in my chest. My friend told me to take 2 Mucinex every 12 hours and it is suppose to loosen the mucus in my lungs so I can cough it up.

Has anyone else had wheezing, whistling or rattling sound in their chest during a cold?

I don't know anything about Mucinex and so I was wondering if anyone out there knows if it really will help get the junk out of my lungs?

LOL, you can probably tell that I don't get sick very often......... :-)

I have used Mucinex and it's a pretty good product. It's NOT fast, but good. I also flush my sinus's EVERY DAY, with SinuMed sinus rinse. by NeilMed.(Cheap and OTC) I HIGHLY recommend this treatment for sinus congestion as it flushes and clears the airways and makes breathing easier. Plus, the warm water rinse feels good. Good luck. (The NeilMed sinus rinse kit is sold at Walgreens or Wal-mart)

when u take mucinex....it will only help if u cough up the phlegm thats it's loosening up...take one or 2 every 12 hours..do not exceed 4 in 24 hours.
