Pimples on pubic area is it an STD even if the doctor said it was razor burn?!

Question: Can HPV be pimples on the pubic area...not in the vagina but right above. The doctor said it was razor burn but it has not gone away since I saw her a month ago. I do shave everyday all of it, I stopped but there was no improvement with the pimples. I am going for a second opinion in a few weeks at a better OBGYN but I am super nervous, and since this new OBGYN comes highly recommended it will be a few weeks before she can see me. Like I said they look like pimples the first OBGYN said they were razon burn and I have never had penial vaginal sex, but have done other things. There seem to be a lot of these pimples and they seemed to pop up overnight. Any advice would be great.

If the doctor says it is razor burn, believe him. With the sweating that occurs in this area, the hair follicles get plugged and cause these pimples. You can try applying hydrocortisone cream right after you shave the stopping the shaving would be your best bet to stop this problem.

no. start using disposable razors. dull razors causes skin irritation especially in those area.

Use good razors. Be very careful. Improper shaving can also lead to you having boils.

DOcs do know what there saying...next time you shave use shaving cream and good razors and go slowly...

sounds like ingrown hairs and why not switch to waxing
less ikely to get the ingrown hairs
to get rid of them go to the drugstore and look for a face product that says it has Glycolic acid in it. and just put some one the area
before bed, but keep away from the pink areas if you know what i mean.
a dermatologist can also get you some with higher amounts of glycoiic acid but now adays there are a lot or products for your face that have this in it and just read the labels

if the doctor siad so then yeah..
