Personally I would request my physician to do a bacterial culture of the infection, and then have the lab do a Sensitivity test to see which antibiotic will kill the infection. That way the proper medication can be given.

Once on an antibiotic it is imperitive that you follow the directions and FINISH THE ENTIRE BOTTLE.

We have MRSA showing up everywhere because people stop taking their medications when they feel better, this just gives the bacteria time to figure the medication out and become that more powerful.

Please, have it cultured (simple lab procedure)

Staph is everywhere all the time no one is ever permanently rid of it..
go get a second opinion to rule out MRSA Staph, which is resistent to antibiotics

If 2 courses of antibiotics haven't worked you should definitely go back to your doctor, unfortunately you might possibly have a virulent form of staph called MRSA. Go see your doctor because it requires that he swab the infection so that it can be cultured and identified properly.

I have seen staph infections develop into serious consequences, such as continual running sore, loss of a limb, and brain abcess.
