How long do viruses last?!
Question: viruses are inert chemicals[RNA or DNA molecule] and come to life only after entering suitable host cells.
outside the host cell---some viruses are very sensitive to chemicals and temperature[eg. HIV] while others can withstand boiling[eg.hepatitis-B virus].
life of a virus inside a host depends on the immune response--the virus may be cleared from the host after a short while[viral flu] or may persist indefinitely[HIV]

Depends on the virus. It usually is much longer than a bacteria because bacteria can be treated with antibiotics, where as there is no medications for viruses.
Some for ever, e.g. AIDS virus, others brief e.g. hepatitis A
It depends upon ur immunity power against the disease
