You don't pick out a disease and then see if the symptoms fit. What you need to do is to go to a doctor and tell him all of your symptoms. He will consider and test for all of the possible diseases that fit the symptoms, not just the one that you picked out.

you would experience achy pain in muscles and joints, menstrual problems/infertility problems, extreme fatigue, weight changes, and sometimes difficulty losing weight. you may also have an enlarged neck. many of these symptoms can just occur and be nothing though. i would talk to your doctor so that he or she may do blood tests and directly pin point the problem. it's pretty simple to figure out if it's your thyroid. wish you well!

There are two types of thyroid conditions: hyperactive and hypoactive. The hyperactive would give you the ability to eat anything and everything you want but you can not gain weight, you lose. Another symptom would be that your eye protrude (bulge) and your heart beats much faster than it should. the hypoactive would cause you to gain weight. No matter what type of diet you go on you just can't lose and matter of fact you keep gaining. Both types cause you to shake as if you have had too much coffee and your heart goes much faster than it should. I have had both types but now have the hypoactive. Medication is necessary to control.
Many people are not aware that they have a hypoactive thyroid but hyperactive is something that you would definitely be aware of.

You need to see a doctor and get a blood test. When my thyroid was low. I would get dry eyes, dry skin, puffy face. constipation and a lot of other stuff. I feel so much better now on thyroid meds.
