Big "pimple" on my back?!

Question: I have a reoccurring, quarter-sized pimple-like thing on my back. I think it has came & went about 3 times so far but this time it's all red and very dark toward the middle like it's full of old blood or something. The 1st few times I had it, it barely got pink. It's always in the same exact spot (right between my right shoulder blade & the middle of my upper back). The last time is was there (about a month ago or so) I thought I had pulled something in my back and the "sprain" was so bad I had went to the doctor and asked him to prescribe me Percocet which he did. It was so bad I could hardly get in and out of bed. I don't know if these 2 factors are related since the 1st time I had it there was no pain like that (nor this time). It's possible it was just a sprain since I was chopping wood a few days prior. The only pain I have this time is when I force my shoulder blades together but I think that pain is just from the swelling around the "pimple". Is there a Dr. in the house???

you could have a skin infection, Staph can come and go. I would use neosporin 4 times a day. If it doesnt go away see your dr to get some antibiotics. Signs of infection would be redness, swelling, tender to the touch, streaking line(s) the area is hot to the touch. So please go to the Dr if it happens again.

AIDS

Maybe you should have had the doctor look at it when he gave you the prescription? It could be anything. If you have a hairy back it could be an ingrown hair.

u r biten by a insect, that's a common thing. apply the savlon or nebucream ointment. If it get bigger u need an injection, this will permarently solve this.

go to a doctor. i'm also a doc.

Could be a boil... Put a hot wash cloth on it..
