Could Fibromyalga be a symptom of a nerve disorder or Scoliosis?!

Question: My friend at church has it, and I wanted to do some reaserch for her. I know I have very simular symptoms, but all my sympotms are caused by pinched nerves in my back. It goes away once I get fixed and do my exercizes. So would it be possible that she could also be suffering from scoliosis or is it mostly a nerve disorder?

Fibromyalgia is a very real illness that doesn't just go away. Some of the symptoms can be controlled or lessened but that is about it. The best place you and your friend can go for more information is fibrohugs.com or the National Fibromylagia Association. I believe their website is fmaware.org.

they are two different and distinct pathologies.

It could be, I would go see a doctor to be very certain of whats going on ...

The reason fibromyalgia is so mystifying is that there is no known cause. Stress seems to be the only common factor. My husband used to suffer from it, but once the stress was removed from his life, the fibromyalgia went away.

fibro. is a round up of alot of different problems and pains that doctors cant detect or diagnose with any other name. It is a disorder so how can it be a symptom? im sure the symptoms of it are like that of other things. But part of fibro is having nerve problems, back pains.

Scoliosis is an unnatural curving of the spine

Fibromyalgia is a widespread muscle pain disorder
