How do i relieve the symptoms of chicken pox?!


Question: my 15 year old has woke up full of chicken pox spots she,s been unwell with a sore throat and headache for the last 2 days what can i do to help her i,ve bought calomine lotion and paracetamol and piriotin i,ve never had it so will i catch it to and if so will it be shingles and when it safe to go back to school

keep giving her what you are giving now...plenty of sleep and fluids....im 37 and only caught it for the 1st time just before xmas...so there is a possability you could catch it...i have always been a carrier....not this time lol
seriously tho hun there isnt much more you can do....dont let her scratch them..

the only relief is sleep.

give her ib brofren and maybe aloe vera lotion

Camomile lotion and paracetamol are the best ways. You won't necessarily catch anything from her, even though you haven't had it before.

Keep your child cool. A nice cotton sheet or light cotton bedding will help. You seem to have done everything else. Plenty fluid also. consult you local surgery about how long shopuld be off school but could be a week or two. My sympathy
