'light therapy' for allergies?!
Question: I saw this kit in my chemist the other day and didn't have time to stop and ask about it but it was basically a 'red light therapy' kit for allergies like hayfever and rhinitis.
I suffer badly from rhinitis in the winter, worse now that I am pregnant and I wondered has anybody heard of this or used it and is it any good? (I obvioulsy can't take drugs at the moment for my rhinitis!)

NO!!! It's a money making scam.
Try nasal saline (salt water rinses). They will help clear up you nose and are perfectly safe for you and your baby. Here is a link: http://allergies.about.com/od/noseandsin...
It's best to avoid medications during pregnancy, but if you have to, then there are antihistamines that are pretty much thought to be safe during pregnancy.
Seriously-- don't suffer-- go to your allergist.

must go to doctor
As a 46-yr old allergy sufferer, I can tell you that the chances of this working are extremely remote.
Seriously, I've spent thousands of dollars and read dozens of books, and this reeks of "pseudoscience". Which is to say, it will probably help 25% of people, the same as a placebo would.
However, I just bought a home-test allergy kit and discovered I have a severe allergy to a mold. It's worth getting some testing done to isolate the *root* problem.
No
Just no
This is news to me but I'll watch for other answers with great enthusiasm. I suffer from allergies as well and I'm always interested in alternative remedies.
