Is the endoscopy procedure hurt.I need one am scare....?!
Question: Depending on how your body reacts to anesthesia, you pretty much don't know anything that goes on during an endoscopy. The last one I had nearly a year ago..all I remember was the tube being put down my throat, but nothing after that, no discomfort whatsoever. It will give your doctor a better understanding of what is going on in your digestive tract if you have been having problems, he/she can look from your esophagus down to the duodenum. Good luck.

I had one recently, and no discomfort whatsoever. It's so quick, and you'll be in a twilight sleep, that you won't even be aware of it. In fact, when I came out I vaguely recalled everyone in the room laughing - the nurse told me I was "having the nicest little conversation with myself", hmmmm, no one would tell me what about. Hope this helps.
I have had an Upper GI Endoscopy.
Do not be scared. You will receive medications to calm you, and you should feel no discomfort. As the previous poster reported, you will most likely be in a very dreamy state. Almost pleasant.
No worries!
If you are very scared, you can ask for anesthetics (they make you sleep for 30 minutes) while doing it.
It is not some thing you would like to do but it is not that bad
