Use a hot washcloth for at least 10 minutes to try to get rid of it.
Styes are caused by bacteria/dirt clogging a "pore" along your eyelid (just like acne). They typically will resolve within 48 hours of continuous warm compress treatment. If you use the washcloth without any luck, you may need to see a GP or optometrist to get a medication to help or to express the follicle.
If you are prone to styes, try to do the warm compresses daily. Follow that with an eyelid wash (like baby shampoo or Ocusoft or an oil free eyemakeup remover).
