My boyfriends son says he's got icthy booty.....?!
Question: ok, here it is. my boyfriends son is 5 years old and he takes showers every night and washes everywhere. well, the problem is, is that everytime i turn around he's got his hand in his butt crack itching it. I've asked him why he does this and all he can tell me is that he's got itchy booty or says he's got worms? What can I do to help this go away? Any advice would help. Thanks

he may indeed have worms. one of the signs is anal itching and also nasal itching. buy some over the counter worming medicine or take him to his pediatrician. also, worms can make you crave sweets.
He might have pin worms you can do the tape test to find out. Place a piece of scotch tape over the anus in the morning and remove it. If he has pin worms you will see the eggs etc. or they may be in his stools.
I think there is over the counter medication for it. Make sure to wash all bedding and clothing in hot water.
If not maybe he isn't wiping well enough even with a shower he may have a bit of fecal matter inside.
If not maybe all the washing dried out the skin around the anus.
If all else fails take him to the doctor.
Maybe he's not cleaning right. Buy him some wipes to use instead of toilet paper.
