If you have lung cancer you should immediately stop drinking cow milk, or any yoghurt made from cow milk. Why, because it clogs up the cells of your lungs, not to mention chock full of hormones and antibiotics,
If you need milk, get goat milk, it is better for you and tastes better, there are plenty of recipies to make your own yoghurt from it on the web.

You need plenty of antioxidants so have green tea often, no milk or sugar with it, and plenty of clean water.

Learn Tai Chi, the gentle one, take it slowly and it will energise you and help with your breathing.

As for what to eat, small meals, when hungry, with the variety of veggies, fruit, a little chicken, fish or red meat giving you the nutrients you need for healing. Ditch junk food forever.

Keep busy, think only of health, have faith and know that you are doing your bit and expect a miracle.
People get well every day, and so can you.

In cancer, more important is to have an early diagnosis, and to be able to utilize as effective a treatment as possible.
Unless otherwise directed by a dietologist, I would avoid excess of any type of food. A balanced diet should help. More important, to my opinion, is medical treatment. Food will not play a major role, because cancer cells have a great plasticity and develop several ways to obtain their nutrients. There has been research, in Finnland, on deprivation on certain food components. This, however, depends, like everything else, on how well the tumor cells can be characterized.
In another type of epithelial cancer, rats 12 mo of age and younger, changing from the control diet to the soy+isoflavone diet significantly prevented progression of spontaneous prostate tumors to the refractory stage of disease.
Animal models, however, have to be evaluated with great caution when trying to apply results on human.
In general, medical advice should be given only by qualified personnel.

If you are going through treatment, dont even worry about a healthy diet, you wont be able to do it more than likely. In general chemo and radiation causes nausea and appetite loss.

I was always told it was impt to get calories and proteins. The one thing that has been recommended by all my docs, and to other cancer pts that I know, is boost or other diet meal replacement shakes or bars. They are loaded with calories and protein. Obviously, if can eat other stuff, dont use these exclusivly, but it helps.

Also, if you are going through treatment you will be advised to be on a neutropenic diet while your white blood count is low. This basically means NO fresh fruit or veggies, NO fish, NO UNpasturized dairy products, and nothing that hasnt been processed (like fresh honey, fresh herbs ect). And all food MUST be cooked thoroughly. This will limit your choices during that time.

Good nutrition is always a good idea, but there is no evidence that any foods will either prevent, treat or cure cancer.

I, for example, had been a vegan (no meat, dairy etc), eating organic, loads of fruit and veg and juicing, for many years when I was diagnosed with cancer.

the must is don smoke

There is nothing you should or shouldn't eat just because you have cancer. The most important thing is that you continue to consume a balanced diet that keeps your weight steady. Eat the foods you enjoy! The post about avoiding dairy products is slightly misguided, continue to eat dairy as you wish as there is no harm in it, it doesn't clog up your airways at all as food passes through a completly different tract. The best thing is just to listen to your own body and look after yourself.
