Hyperthyroidism! Has any one had this male/female. And what were your signs and symtoms that made u go to doc?
i took blood work and they said i had hyperthyroidism and i have no signs barly what so ever that i have it. I have not lost weight. I do have ichy spots on legs. I do have some tepm problems when it gets hot. My periods are irregular. But what were your signs and symtoms thanks for the answers im very concerned and worried im goin to the doc on wed.
What did the doc give u to fix the hyperthyoidism? Did they do the pills, or theres some other kind of odd pill they give u just once or did they do surgery?
Answers:
First of all, if your doctor thinks your condition is severe, he will give you medication for it, but once they give it to you is usually for life. Some are synthetic and some natural made from desiccated (dried) pork thyroid glands.
Symptoms also include feeling nervousness, irritability, heart palpitations, anxiety, lack of concentration, weight loss or no gain. I hope they don't do surgery, as that will leave you with more problems at the end. Make sure you ask all kinds of questions. Some people don't need to take medication, but it all depends on your condition.
Remember, dont' be affraid to ask what's causing your thyroid to work fast and if there's any alternative to medication for your condition.
