Why not vaccinate men against HPV?!

Question:

Why not vaccinate men against HPV?

Does anyone know why the vaccine is solely available to women? It's an std, so women obviously get it from men. Sure, men may not have to worry about cervical cancer, but if we focused on vaccinating everyone it wouldn't be spread. Thoughts, anyone?

I know there are many types. There are only about 5 that cause genital HPV (others cause warts elsewhere)- the two gardisil protects against are the two most deadly, ie, likely to cause cancer. If we protect men at the same young age women are being protected, wouldn't it be better? And does the vaccination REALLY only work on women? I've never read that in any literature, and I've never heard of a vaccination being gender-specific (scientifically impossible).

Answers:

The inventor of the vaccine, Professor Ian Frazer had both his sons vaccinated. They were on the front page of the Courier Mail or Sunday Mail a couple of weeks back.
It's mainly a cost factor at this stage.
