Question about my penis? Guys only! 10pts!?!

Question: Question about my penis? Guys only! 10pts!?
Okay. I have a little strand of skin connecting the top of the shaft to the head, and it's because the doctor messed up my circumcision. Is there any way that I could have this removed? I hate the way it looks cuz it isn't the same as the other guys. Could this be done without my parents knowing?

Answers:

Issac only if your 18 you need permission to have anything done to your body because your a minor but dude be honest with your parents and ask them to be taken to the doctor for some advise about it. what if you got hit in the balls while playing soccer or football and somthing happened to your balls would you not tell them? dude always be honest and talk to your parents.

Guys only? Why? What if there's a woman on here who's more qualified than anyone to answer? Questioners on YA should not limit answers to a portion of the population. It irks me whenever people do this. I mean, are you really trying to get the best advice available, or are you just fooling around?

You can have such a deformity removed. See a doctor - he can advise you on any surgery necessary. You'll have to get your parents' permission if you're a minor, and they're the ones who should be embarrassed - and they should have to pay to put it right - their incompetence and ignorance did this to you.

Why can't parents leave their children's genitals alone?

It's probably a skin bridge (unless you're describing it wrong and it's just your frenulum?), and it's not from a botched circumcision. Skin bridges form when the parents don't retract the remnant skin on a baby when the circumcision is healing. If the remnant skin isn't retracted, it adheres to the glans, and a skin bridge can form.

You should see a doctor about it, and it can be removed surgically, but if you're under-aged you will need your parents' consent. The doctor can't operate on you without your parents knowing. Sorry.

Some of us girls have expertise in men's health, by the way.

This is just another in the long list of reasons to never circumcise a non consenting infant/child.
You are the one left to live with the sloppy job, and the doctors get to collect even more money when they have to repair the damage they did by circumcising you in the first place.
You will want to speak to a doctor about it,....but will not be able to have anything done without parental permission, unless you are over 18 years of age.
After that, you may want to consider foreskin restoration. I have been restoring my foreskin for four years and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
I have posted some links to some foreskin restoration sites below to give you more information and an assurance this is a legitimate process.
If this idea appeals to you, please feel free to contact me through my profile page and I will be glad to answer your questions.
Hope this helped. :)

Yes another gone bad, You probably can have it fixed, but your parents will have to know, and they should, you should have not been circumcised any way until you were old enough to decide for yourself This is why it should not have been done, consider yourself lucky that is was no worse than that, some are mutilated to the point they have to have a sex change.

Hello, Issac James! Yes, the doctor who circumcised you did not follow up the procedure very well. He should have been able to see the adhesion that formed. Go to see several (3) specialists and get their recommendations. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need your parents permission for any procedure to be done. Good luck!

Great list of websites in these answers. Don't forget this one. For those of us that have had our genitals mutilated. You do have to be 18 to join.

Another mutilation gone bad. Why do parents want to mess with nature and change a beautiful thing. You should think about suing your parents.

Mother Nature

Who cares what the other guys look like. Conformity is for losers. If i were you i would be more upset having been sexually mutilated.

You should contact ARClaw.org and find out weather of not you are eligible to sue

At foregen.org they are developing regenerative medicine for the victims of forced genial trauma.

Circumcision is Unnecessary Risky, and Painful. Complications occur 2-10% of the time!(1) If you count more "minor" skin tags, complication rates as high as 55%(1) have been documented. Perhaps worst of all, more then 117 (4) to 230(5) infants in the U.S. die from circumcision every year.

What is the foreskin? Information about the foreskin is virtually absent during discussions of anatomy in biology classrooms, and yet, the foreskin provides a well-documeted set of crucial sensory, protective, immunological, hygienic, and sexual functions. The foreskin is a double fold of skin that is twice as big as its appearance. It can make up to 80% or more of the penile skin covering, and includes around 12-20 square inches of skin (the size of a 3x4 or a 4x5 index card!), and in turn includes a specialized sheet of dartos muscle(42,44). One of the functions of this mobile skin system is to glide up and down the shaft of the penis in order to facilitate non-abrasive stimulation during sexual activity without any need for artificial lubricant. This frictionless gliding mechanism is the principal source of stimulation for the intact penis and facilitates non-abrasive intercourse.

in a 2006 study which measured the sensitivity of all the parts of the penis. they concluded

"Five locations on the uncircumcised penis that are routinely removed at circumcision were more sensitive than the most sensitive location on the circumcised penis ... which is the amputation scar on the ventral side "(51)

The foreskin, like the eyelid, also serves an important set of protective and immunological functions. The foreskin protects the delicate glans of the penis and puts the urethra at a distance form its environment protecting it from foreign contaminants of all kinds. While simultaneously shielding the penis from injury. The foreskins inner fold and the glans of the penis are comprised of mucous membrane tissue. These are also present in your eyes, mouth, and all other bodily orifices including the female genitals. These mucous membranes perform many immunological and hygienic functions. Certain components such as Langerhans cells(52), plasma cells(53), apocrine glands(54), and sebaceous glands(55), collectively secrete emolliating lubricants(56) rich in enzymes such as lysosomal enzymes, cathepsin B, chymotrypsin, neutrophil elastase, immunoglobulin, and cytokine(58,58) whose function is to sequester and “digest” foreign pathogens. The foreskin is also responsible for the production, retention, and dispersal of pheromones such as androsterone(59). In time we will discover even more information about the foreskin and its functional components.

The intact penis is naturally clean and maintains a level of hygiene that is optimal when compared to a penis that has been altered by circumcision. In fact, a myriad of rigorously controlled studies performed by objective researchers among racially and socioeconomically homogeneous study groups in developed urban settings have shown that circumcision is often associated with an increased risk of bacterial infections, viral infections, and major STD’s (60,61,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71).
