Around half of the infertility problems encountered by couples are caused by male infertility. The most common form of male infertility is a low sperm count.

“Normal” sperm count, as defined by the World Health Organization, is characterized by:
? The concentration of spermatozoa should be at least 20 million per ml.
? The total volume of semen should be at least 2ml.
? The total number of spermatozoa in the ejaculate should be at least 40 million.
? At least 75 per cent of the spermatozoa should be alive (it is normal for up to 25 per cent to be dead).
? At least 30 per cent of the spermatozoa should be of normal shape and form.
? At least 25 per cent of the spermatozoa should be swimming with rapid forward movement.
? At least 50 per cent of the spermatozoa should be swimming forward, even if only sluggishly.

The average sperm count ranges from 20 million to more than 100 million sperm in each milliliter of semen. While these are normal ranges, men with sperm count in the upper ranges usually have a better chance of impregnating a woman because many sperm aren't strong enough to complete the journey to the egg. In a fertile man, only about 2,000 sperm actually reach the egg. When sperm counts fall into the lower ranges, between 12 ? and 25 million sperm, the ability to fertilize an egg drops significantly and reproductive researchers have found that only half of the men who fall into this range can impregnate a woman. Those with the lowest counts, less than 12 ? million sperm, are even less likely to fertilize an egg.

I think you mistaken.. like what others said.. sperm count is the about of sperm per ml.. not the quantity of ejaculation

which means u cant do the sperm count at home.. it has to be done in a laboratory!

20 million sperms per ml is normal
