HR,
Work your deltoids (outer shoulder muscles)!. They aren't huge when you start, so don't strain them!. Also - be really slow and careful about way over the head type stuff, because no matter how strong you are, you can tear a rotator cuff!. If you do that, you'll be screwed for quite a while!.

Use dumbbells and lift them forward until your arm is horizontal!. Then, lift them out to the side - to horizontal!. For the back ones, use bent over rows with dumbbells!.

You need to keep your body and the muscles well balanced!. Do trapezoid pull downs until they burn!. Lower the weight, and do it again, and keep doing that until the muscle is very tired!. Pull the cable down behind your head, and do them again, but in front down to your chest!.

Do a good chest and arm workout as well!.

You can't change your skeleton, but depending how muscled you already are, you can add at least an inch or so to either side - and a 2 inch increase in shoulder width is alot!. By the way - it won't happen overnight!. Be patient, be persistent, eat plenty of protien, take vitamins, and get enough sleep and you'll get there!.

ps!. I forgot the cable pulls - where you pull inward from both sides!. Those racks can be hard to find though, so if you have to, lay on your back, put the dumbbells out to either side, and lift them to the middle!. It's hard to describe, but you need to hit your chest, and you need to bend over and do it that way as well to hit the muscles along your spine fanning outward to your shoulders!. All of these muscles work together, and you can't exercise one set and have it look good!. However - if you lift like crazy, get well defined and bulked out, the proportions will matter far more than your overall size!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
