What are the long term effects of a vasectomy?!

Question: What are the long term effects of a vasectomy!?
Answers:
The long term effects are not known!. Most men develop anti-sperm antibodies due to the inevitable "blowouts" in the epididymus from chronic back pressure created by blocking the vas (tubes)!. The long term immunologic effects of these auto-immune antibodies is not well known!. They do seem to decrease the success of vasectomy reversal and may rarely cause auto-immune orchitis (inflammation of the testicles)!.

The long-term issue with chronic testicular pain is the most important side effect!. Few people talk about this, even though the incidence is around 10 to 15%!. In another study regarding chronic pain, they included a control group and still found a higher incidence of testicular pain following vasectomy!.
