it's because your jaw is crooked, or your teeth are crooked and the top and bottom teeth don't sit together comfortably.
you can get it fixed with braces or surgery.
or if you already had braces, it could be the reason why your jaw is crooked (lots of people who get braces end up with crooked jaws that click when they open and close their mouths).
if one cheek is only slightly bigger than the other, i wouldn't worry about it... everyone has slight asymmetry in their faces and throughout their bodies.
if it really bothers you, see an orthodontist.
