Is it ok for a guy to shave their legs and armpits?!
Question: im nearly 16 in 2 months and i have hairy genes they come from my dad, if u have seen my uncle he looks like a gorilla ( just with hair), i shave my armpits every 2 weeks or so so i dont sweat and it looks kinda weird on me, i shave my legs sometimes and cause im bored but also cause they are extremely hairy and i dont like people seeing me with hairy legs :S. is it normal for guys to shave their legs and armpits, i know people do it for sport but im 100% straight and i like girls alot but i like having shaved legs cause i have increased speed at kickboxing and muay thai training. Honestly my legs look like barbarian legs if i dont shave them. ive heard people at school saying guys who shave their legs are gay? But does everyone think im gay if i shave my armpits and legs? i know my dad shaves his armpits but he does it so he doesnt sweat. im not gay or anything its just i dont have comfitable wearing shorts or anything displaying my shaved legs cause of what people think.

I also have hairy genes and live in a warm climate...
just so you know, I shave my armpits sometimes cause I get really hot and just can't stand it, my legs I've never tried it, but iv'e thought of it. I don't really see anything wrong or weird about that, it's just to be confortable, so I say go with it
I think it's normally for teenage guys to feel weird about showing their hairy legs off in public. It'll pass. As for shaving....I think it's weird. Guys are suppose to be hairy (froma girls perspective).
Firstly shaving your armpits doesn't stop you from sweating. You still sweat, the sweat just goes onto your skin instead of into the hair. The hair on your armpits is there to absorb the sweat.
Try just cutting them instead, or use some hair clippers. The same with your legs, you could buy some hair clippers and use say a #3 blade, this would leave you with hair, but would just trim it down to decent size.
Yeah i think if you were my bf Id like it if you took care of that problem and shaved arm pitts legs and whatever else. i also think you should shave your balls and use a trimmer on the rest of your hair down there. I like to suck on and play with shaved balls but hairy balls ugh so nasty.
it's not normal, but completely accepted if you're doing any sort of sports (i.e. the martial arts you're involved in)
also, if anyone thinks you're gay for doing that, just kick their *** if they're giving you trouble! :)
Just to be honest...I think it's weird when guys shave their legs or armpits. I wouldn't judge you, but I am 27 y/o female. When I was 16 my friends and I would have laughed at you and called you gay. I know that is immature, but that is how 16 year olds are. So your peers will probably think your weird. Sorry. If that bothers you then you better stop shaving.
do you think all those male muscle models out there are naturally smooth? Almost all of them shave to get that smooth look because the smooth look is what is viewed as attractive in this day in age. If you have an excess ammount of hair you get get lasar hair removal that removes the hair permanently. I'm sure you could only get rid of some of it if you want it. Believe me, most guys are hairy. They either shave their chest and stomach hair or at least trim it to make it look more attractive.
Maybe shaving isn't your answer. Maybe you should trim ( slightly cut) your hair.not all the way, but enought to where you are comfortable, to where people don't think your gay?
I don't know any guys that shave their legs unless they are swimmers or bikers. It seems weird that you do it because you don't like your leg hair. It's part of being a guy!
