This will depend on a lot of things. Pretty much every male's penis leans to one side or the other at some varying degree. Also the width/length ratio of the penis, the tightness of the ligaments under the skin, and many other things will determine how straight up it goes. Also how easily it sways around will change from person to person.
Some men have even had the ligaments that pull the penis upward cut in order to gain length. This will make the penis fall towards gravity loosely.

an erection is when a males penis hardens and also tends to stick upwards due to hormones... not only that but sperm may come out to at times. hope this helps

The shape, curvature, and size of an erect penis varies greatly from person to person. Some men have penises that curve left or right, some up or down, some that don't curve at all. Size and level of hardness are all varied too.
It looks like a big eel coming to attack you! Just kidding...kind of...anyway, it usually angles upward (not straight up) and can be 90 degrees also. Straight down would make sex impossible.
