Avoid "anti-itch" creams and talcum powder. These products are not intended for use in the genital area.
Look for a product called "Tend Skin". (cobalt blue bottle) You can usually find it at a drug store or beauty supply shop.
Apply once daily and not only will the itching cease, you won't have any red, irritated "bumps" that accompany shaving.
Just a suggestion, but you might look into waxing rather than shaving. Shaving the pubic area is a risky business at best. A close trim is one option, but if you're set on going "bare", a good "bikini waxer" will remove pubic hair for men as well as women. It's very common these days, and I've had several patients who have it done regularly.
You'll still need to use the "Tend Skin" because when the re-growth begins you still run the risk of "bumps" and itching, but a good waxing lasts far longer than a shave.

Use some anti-itch cremes and don't ever shave down there again!
wait for it to grow back and then stop being a bored lil'monkey! (Try corn starch baby power-not talc!)
use talcum powder to stop the itching and don't do it again next time just trim them down
and kyle i don't know why you would use a car to shave i use a razor

The kids in my hood cut their pubes short with scissors. They are happy, no itch, no cuts or scrapes, no tangles in zippers, just good looking trim.
