What to do for anxiety!?!
Question:
What to do for anxiety!?
*sigh*
Long story short -- have been through my fair share of really bad lows with depression, very little anxiety. So, I went through a really rough with time with a relationship and with my pre-existing problems, it set me off to the point where I began suffering from horrific panic attacks/anxiety/severe depression. As of now, I have been seeing a wonderful psychologist for a little over a month, doing very well.
My anxiety is up and down, I'm really not used to feeling "stressed" all the time, like I feel now. It's not as horrible as it was (I could barely eat and hardly function), but I constantly worry and I get set off easy, and even when I would get depressed or somewhat stressed awhile ago, I could just get out of it. Now it's just a constant struggle. I really can't just "snap out of it", even doing calming things, doesn't take off that edge, I exercise a lot as well and it somewhat helps.
I don't know, I'm really considering medication at this point =/ Any advice ?
Answers:
I would suggest seeing a doctor and ask for prescriptions.
I get anxiety attack every now and then and I take a prescription drug from my doctor. It is half pain-killer and half sedative, so it removes my headaches and calms me down. I don't take them often, only when I have extreme headaches and anxiety attacks.
It will help tide you over this period of time while you continue your therapy.
Good luck in your way to recovery!
