Yoga is all about relieving stress. We are stressed due to various psychological pressures, yoga ensures mind-body relaxement which readily relieves stress.
Yoga is a continous learning art, it can't be experienced in a single sitting or shorter durations, you should have lot of patience to experience it.
Meditation ( Breathing exercises) are the easiest to beat stress, yoga calls it Padmasana. It is the simplest and yet effective to kick of stress.
