I think my sister is Bulimic, How do I confront her??!

Question:

I think my sister is Bulimic, How do I confront her??

My older sister has been having some strange behaviors after meals lately. She is a very educated and beautiful girl, but she does suffer from depression and very low self esteem. Lately, me and my younger sister have noticed that after eating out or a meal at home she will lock herself in the bathroom for about 15-20 min, her eyes will be teary and red and the bathroom often smells like vomit. Last time she came over my house, after eating dinner and being in the bathroom for about 20 min she came out and her breath smelled like toothpaste. I asked her "did you brush your teeth??" and she just got nervous and said "yes" and completely changed the conversation. She doesn't live with me so why would she "brush her teeth". Also the bathroom smelled of vomit. My younger sister has noticed the same things. We have tried telling our parents but they don't really believe us. How can we confront her? Will she get defensive, or emberrassed?? I'm really in the fence about this, PLEASE HELP!!

Answers:

i would try talking to her about it. i mean just like sit her down and explain to her that your worried and curious about whats going on. like tell her that you have a feeling that something is going on but your not sure, and that you just wanted to talk to her about it. and than tell her what you think is going on. but if you do talk to her, make sure that she knows your not tryin to be mean or tryin to hurt her, make sure she knows that your just making sure that shes okay and that she can talk to you if somethings going on. i mean from the description that you put, it does sound like she is, but i dont know. you could just ask her if shes okay and if she needs to talk about anything. but if i were you, i would deffinately confront her about it. i hope this helped. and if it didnt than im sorry. good luck!
