Is there a tried and proven method to get a dream when you sleep?

You always dream no matter what. The problem is you don't always remember it. But there are ways to help.

Supposedly, eating spicy foods, mustard, and pickles before bed can trigger nightmares or vivid dreams. I've nmever tried this, but it might be worth a shot. Somepeople also get vivid dreams if they have an alcoholic drink before bed, since alcohol changes your sleep rhythms and can deepen the stage where you dream the most.

Another thing you can do is before going to bed, tell yourself "I will remember my dreams tonight." Some people say that works.

What works for me is keeping a dream journal. When I start to write down the few dreams I do remember, I find that over time, it's easier to remember more of them in detail.
