Question:
Is it normal to do two different meds for bi-polar disorder?
My husband has just been diagnosed w/ bi-polar disorder and the Psychiatrist gave him two meds/pills and said it needs to work as a combo?
Answers:
yes combination's of meds are often used for the treatment of bipolar normally one will be a mood stabilizer and the other an anti-depressant. if you said what meds it was he was put on I could be of more help to you. as a relative of a bipolar person I would also like to tell you about this great informative group for relatives, friends and carer givers of people with bipolar the link is below. good luck.
