Should I stop her?!

Question:

Should I stop her?

My friend wants to try a hard drug, should I stop her? I tried telling her it's a high risk drug, and that I think she has an addictive personality but she claims she's only going to try it once for the experience. I think she's going to become a junky because she started using pot and was using all the time and every day by herself. So I figure if she goes crazy with something as mild as pot she's probably going to get addicted to something much stronger. On the other hand, I was also thinking the fact that she's used pot and wants to try a harder drug is a sign that she is destined for her downfall already regardless of my involvement in trying to save her. Like there is no way to help her.

Answers:

YES. Stop her! If she has an addictive personality chances are this isn't just going to be for the "experience". Since shes already a pot addict, it wouldn't be too hard for her to get addicted to another drug, or anything. When people do stuff alone (drugs, drinking...), many times the case is they don't want people to see how serious their problem is, how much they drink or do. If she smokes pot daily, she is addicted. Suggest to her to start a 12 step program or other recovery method, it will help.
