Question: What do you do when you can`t sleep at night,even although you are shattered,please help?

I decide I might as well do something, so i go and make myself some hot milk (if its cold) or cool water ( if it's hot ) and maybe have a biscuit :) I might read a bit or listen to music and then I picture flowers opening and closing, red, then orange, then yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. As I do I breathe in and out, it calms me :) Sleep comes eventually, you just can't make it. Leave the worries till the morning, nothing you can do about them now
Sometimes I will take an advil pm (very light sleep aid, and doesnt' hurt your stomach). Breathing deeply and slowly is a great exercise as well. I will put on classical music occassionally on low to slow my mind down a bit. I used to watch TV, but I have noticed that causes me a lot of anxiety (especially when an infomercial for some crazy product comes on).
Having a lot on your mind sucks...it's stressful, causes anxiety, and sleep is almost always effected. Try out a few things, and do what works for you. Sleep will eventually come, and the thoughts on your mind will eventually work themselves out.
I turn the radio on low to some easy listening music.
Sleeping pills or..
Try writing all your thoughts down, it really helps clear your mind.
