I think that you are certainly headed in the right direction. You seem very wise and very cognitive about your needs. And so, let us put school in perspective here:
You have only 3 more months to go and spring vacation is coming up here for you, too. And so, there is a break coming up before you have to go on.
The externship is a really great opportunity for you to get work experience in your chosen field and that's a great thing to look forward to. It's an advantage and an opportunity for you.
I believe that a medication adjustment would help you tremendously and you are right to ask about it and check into it. Also ask your doctor about the twitching to see if it is a side effect of your condition or if it is a side effect of medication, which can be adjusted.
I think you are on the right track to success.
I think you need to talk with someone in the admissions office or your professors and tell them that you have been ill and you are under a doctors care and on medication. And so, if you miss any time, you would like to have the opportunity to make up your work. This is a very reasonable request. And you don't have to go into what your illness is because that's private.
I think you'll be successful!
I wish you all the best.
thats a good idea, to ask your doctor for stronger meds
