Question: If I wanted to have a few drinks with my husband,would it be wise to skip taking my cymbalta for that day?
They recently put me on Cymbalta,and (I don't hardly EVER drink anyways) my husband and I were thinking about having a few drinks soon,and I was wondering if it would be smart to just skip my dose of cymbalta for that day. I know drinking with it isn't recommended,and if I do choose to drink with my husband,would it just be better for me to skip the dose of the Cymbalta for the day we're choosing to have a few drinks? I know the risks of drinking while on it,which is why I'm asking if it would be smart to skip the dose.
If I have a few drinks,I would just skip my dose for the day. I KNOW it's not recommended you drink with it,and it's not like I drink hardly ever anyways. I barely do it,and when I do it's only a few drinks. I was just asking if it would be smart to skip the dose that day,not for people to tell me information that I already know.

don't ever skip RX meds. if you're insistent on drinking, take meds in the am, and drink at night. drink less and know your limits. talk to your pharmacist, but do not skip rx meds!
Cymbalta is the only antidepressant that you can't drink alcohol with, but it is not advised with the others, 1 or 2 drinks should not do much harm.
