Does ADHD affect rather someone is rude or not?!
Question: Does ADHD affect rather someone is rude or not?
Answers:
No... ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) causes people to have a hard time paying attention and cause hyperactivity. I have ADHD, but it doesn't cause me to have any problems with my aditude. It doesn't affect your aditude towards people. Well... at least from what I've experienced. It's more like a psychological disorder.
With ADHD, some people can't connect the dots between their actions and the consequences to others (and themselves). This would explain the bumping, clumsiness -- it's almost like a fog. It doesn't mean they're meaning to bump you or encroach on your personal space, just means they can't foresee the results of their behaviour.
As for not saying anything, that's just rude. Someone with ADHD may be clumsier than most, but when they bump into you, it's just common courtesy to say "sorry" -- ADHD shouldn't be an excuse to not be courteous and respectful. You should say something.
I know a 4 year old that has been diagnosed with ADHD. He's got it bad, too. And he is one of the rudest kids I have ever had the displeasure of meeting and he's very precocious. He is cute and sweet as can be sometimes, but very, very impatient and willful. So yes I am inclined to think this is partly due to ADD. This is not an excuse to act rude by any means.
Idk the correct answer but i had ADHD when i was a child and grew out of it by the time i was a teenager like most normal people!!
I was never rude always polite! Maybe that kid just is slow or somthing or just plain ol RUDE!! :)
Rude is rude, ill behaviour is too easily interpreted as a psychological disorder.
no ADHD is not an excuse to be rude
he can not blame his rudeness on his ADHD
