Question: Okay, so I have this friend!.!.!.!?
and she has told people that she was raped but she has told 3 different stories to how/when it occurred!. She also cuts herself and sends pictures from her phone to all of her friends!. I have cut too and I'm in the process of quitting and I can't understand why anyone would want to show their cuts let alone let people know about it!. For me it's something that I try very hard to hide everyday!. However, she shows us pictures and says that when she does it is around the time that she was raped but she does it like 5 times a year and gives that reason but claims she was only raped once!. I'm not sure if she just does it for attention or if she was actually raped and maybe just has flash backs of it!. My other friends thinks she just wants attention but I'm not sure!.!.!.recently she sent me a text message saying that her family was going to send her away because her mother walked in on her in the bathroom and saw her cuts and wanted to send her away to a hospital to help her!. then a day later she said her mom was giving her one last chance to stop cutting or she would send her away!.!.!.then today I get a text and she asks me if it hurts when you have sex for the first time!.!.!.!.and my thought to that was if she was raped wouldn't she know!? I'm not sure if she just makes things up for the attention or if the things she claims have happened to her are true!.!.!.I need more opinions!.!.!.from what I've said what do you guys think!? I want to help her because I realize that if shes lying or if she is not she still needs some type of help but I'm not sure what kind because I'm not sure what to believe!.!.!.!.what do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

this young girl has a WHOLE LOT of issues and needs help!.if your really her friend,tell her she doesnt need to lie and hurt herself just to get attention!.you should also talk to her mom and tell her whats going on!.real friends dont let thier buds do bad things to themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think she is a liar, and that she only cuts for attention!. She wants you to feel sorry for her!. It's really quite sad!. My friend acts like that too!. I just don't believe her stories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would bring it up to the school counselor since they will have the resources and tools available to assess the situation!. Women have a hard enough time with getting rape prosecutions or even coming forward so if she's saying she was raped for attention she should be silenced!. If on the other hand she WAS raped (which from the stories it is unlikely that anyone will believe her at this point) then it should be reported and investigated!. Also, anyone who cuts should be talking to their parents, a counselor, or psychologist to deal with whatever is bothering them!.
