Answers:
You need to see a psychiatrist and not a regular doctor, because taking you off antidepressants cold turkey can be dangerous and lead to a relapse and you can sink farther into depression than you already were!.

Talk to your parents and find a good psychiatrist, and it's totally normal to be depressed when you break up with your "first love"!. Depression meds won't take ALL depression away!. If you have a major event in your life, it will help you through it, but you still have "feelings"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

'Yes, there's a reason!. You're 15 and you want them!. You need to be checked for allergies!. You may be having an allergic reaction to something in your environment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

beause u use them for a cure all and they're not!. they only help not fix things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because you are too young that is what they told me too and apparently they can become addictiveWww@Answer-Health@Com

You're sounding like the drugs are your saviour!. Maybe the doctor should have tapered you off them, which means start decreasing the dosage till you are off them!. Maybe talk to the school counsellor ab out your problems as any addiction to pescription drugs are bad for your health!.

Imagine this - 2 years from now, you're 17 and you will need to be taking more and more of the drug to get the same effect you are getting nowWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you explain to your doctor how you feel, then there is no reason for him or her not to prescribe them!. He or she may send you to a psychiatrist this time, though, since you would be taking them for mental reasons, rather than physical ones!.

As for the headaches, have you tried Topamax!? My sister started taking it when she was 16!.
Or Depakote!? I have an aunt that takes it, and it works great for her!.

anti depressants for young people are not strongly advised due to the side effects!.!. which include comitting suicide!.!. they haven't come out with a good anti depressent for young people!.!. but they are working on it!.!. try talking to a therapist even a counsler at school!.!. and figure out why you are depressed!.!. it is becoming very common in the young and old!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You didn't taper off for long enough! I suggest that you go back to your doctor, or consult another, and get enough to wean off: 3/4 dose, first week; 1/2 dose, next week; 1/4 dose, final week, or as advised!. ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ A multidimensional approach to treating depression without medication follows!. All except for no!. (6!.) are safe to use with medication, but not St!. John's wort, because of interactions, and it's sensible to check out anything else first with your doctor!.

(1!.) Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice!. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it!.

(2!.) Work up slowly to at least 20 minutes minutes of exercise, daily, or 30 - 60 mns, 5 times weekly!. Too much exercise can cause stress, which isn't wanted when dealing with depression!. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it!.

(3!.) Occupational therapy (keeping busy allows little time for unproductive introspection, and keeps mental activity out of less desirable areas of the brain)!.

(4!.) Use daily, one of the relaxation methods in sections 2, 2!.c, 2!.i, or 11, and/or yoga, Tai Chi, and/or the EFT, in sections 2!.q, 2!.o, and section 53, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris whichever works best for you!.

(5!.) Initially, at least, some form of counselling, preferably either Cognitive Behavio(u)ral Therapy, or Rational Emotive Behavio(u)ral Therapy!.

(6!.) As options, if desired, either a known, effective herbal remedy, such as St!. John's wort, or supplements, such as SAMe, taken with a vitamin B complex which is certified as being 100% of natural origin, or Inositol (from vitamin and health food stores, some supermarkets, or mail order: view section 55)!.

Also, 80% of people in the Western world have low magnesium levels, and these are known to cause depression & anxiety!. Try the magnesium supplement types shown in http://www!.real-depression-help!.com/ Some of these will be available in pharmacies, or supermarkets!.

An improvement can be noticed in as little as a week, if a deficiency is the cause!. Also, iodised salt is preferable to regular salt!. This is a shortened version of the much more comprehensive post, which may be viewed on page Z!.12, in section 2 of ezy build, above, but to gain full appreciation, section 2 really is best if viewed in its entirety, and headaches/migraine is addressed in section 14!.
