Question: What happens to children when their mothers have to go into hospital!?
If there is no-one to look after them!? Does that mean that they dont have to go to hospital, and get treatment as on out patient!? (this is for a mental illness, but nothing as severe as schizophrenia)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you agreeing to go into hospital voluntarily, or are you going to be sectioned!? If you've just been asked to go as a voluntary patient then you can say no, and ask if out patient treatment would be possible, but if you are going to be sectioned, it might be best if you can find a trusted relative to look after your children, otherwise they will be placed into temporary foster care by social services!.

No if you need to go into hospital for any reason that is what happens!.!.!.your children will be placed in temporary foster care untill you are well enough to care for them again!.
Don't feel guilty about this!.!.!.they would rather spend time away from you than see you ill!.

If someone needs to be put in the hospital for a mental evaluation and there are minor children the authorities will make sure they are being looked after!. The reason they would keep her in the hospital is if she is a danger to herself or someone else!. If she is seeking help on her own she can do an out patient program!.

I'm pretty sure the mum would arrange for them to stay at a friends or relatives for the time being!.

Could your children stay with some friends!? Failing that, then I should say temporary foster care would be the only option!. If it did come to that then I'm sure your kids would stay with some lovely people until you are well!. All the best, get well soon xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com
