Well, from your Mom's point of view, she probably doesn't want to even THINK that you might!.!.!.I know I was DEVASTATED when I found out that my 6 year old twins (YES, I SAID SIX!!!) have it!. Not because I thought they were bad, or I was ashamed or anything like that, but just because I know how hard it is living with this!. I am sure your Mom probably is looking at it from another angle!. We will not even go there!. Let's just get you some hard, cold facts to help you out here!. Fact 1!. Kids as young as 3 and 4 are diagnosed with early-onset Bipolar!. Fact 2!. The earlier you get treated the better it will be for you, something a mom should respond pretty favorably to (Your first psychotic break may be alleviated or greatly reduced, if it is indeed what you have)!.
Here is a way to get her some pretty convincing evidence and data: There is an excellent book, called "The Bipolar Child" ("child", meaning not an ADULT) and there is also a website, http://www!.BipolarChild!.com that you can go to right now that actually has questionnaires for KIDS because the symptoms for kids are different than for adults!. Wait until you check it out, you might just be amazed!. Who knows, your Mom might just be amazed!. I hope this helps, and I pray that your Mom's heart gets opened to your plight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar disorder is usually diagnosed at a later age, ( late adolescence)!.!.!.During the teen years, moods can be unstable due to hormones, and life circumstances!.!.It`s a really serious mental illness, that disrupts your quality of life!.Looking online for symptoms, it`s not really going to help you with a diagnosis!. You have to see a specialist!. The symptoms can be so vague sometimes!. Like for an example, I was always " talking to myself and daydreaming", they thought I was inattentive!. I was manic, and borderline psychotic!.Most of the time teens are just trying to grow into " adult shoes"!.!.!.But seek help if you`re worried!. 14 is a little young!.A bipolar child is rare!.It`s usually the more severe type, and it`s geneticWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, whats your mood like!? does it vary at any given time, can you be happy one minute and then angry the next!? if so, you may have bi polar and if your mom wants to deny it than i suggest you talk to a counselor or something at school so they can confirm it, after that your mom should be more helpfulWww@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a phase because this is the puberty age!. However, if your mom wont take you you should try talking to a school counsler!. They can help you, and eventually help your mom to understand to take you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is only ONE way to know for sure: see a professional!. Bi-polar cannot be diagnosed online!. That said, if you have a lot of the symptoms, it could be so, or you may even have something else that is similar!. It is a shame that your mother does not take it seriously, because it is, indeed, a serious thing!. I recommend one of two things:

1!. Eventually you will need to go to a doctor for SOMETHING!. When you are there for a cold or physical or such, ask about it and tell the doctor how you feel!. They will take you more seriously and can help you understand what you are going through!. They can even educate your mom on it!.

2!. Talk to a counselor or teacher at school!. They may take you more seriously and refer you to someone or talk to your parents about it!.

My wife is bi-polar!. It can be a very rough disease to deal with!. I do hope you get properly diagnosed!. Bi-polar or not, there are things that can be done to make you feel better! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
