Question: Is this a controlling behaviour!? is it typical!?
Besides other signs such as attaching to their partner really soon, talking bad things of their friends, being jelous, seeing who u have talked to and stuff like that, can a controlling person say that their partner doesnt love them enought and try to not be with them (don't date anymore or break up) !? Is this a normal controlling behaviour cos they know their partner can't leave them, or its not very normal in "controllers"!? Of course among other things controllers do, do they do this too!? I'm not sure I understand all the issues as you were a little vague & things were "scrambled"!. My summation is that you are codepent with a controlling partner--very, very common!. Hate to tell you this but the only way to get over it is some really good therapy (I believe the most in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy!.)
I understand b/c I am co-dependent as hell & no matter how hard I try, I always end up with a controller!. It makes life so miserable, doesn't it!? (Never knowing what to expect & always being on guard!.)
You may want to research co-dependency on-line!. The most popular book about it years ago was "Codependent No More:!.

It doesn't sound like controlling behavior to me just a very insecure person!. Tell him he either trusts you are he doesn't!. If he trusts you he will stop checking up on you!. If he does not trust you then the relationship will not work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
