How to help my friend with his mental problems?!
Question: How to help my friend with his mental problems!?
Well, my friend that I haven't known too long has a lot of mental problems!. From dyslexia to killing small animals!. [he doesn't want to hurt the animals, it's just an impulse!.] I want to try to help him but I'm not sure how I can!. My sister says that I should just be there for him and stay on his good side!.
Any suggestions on how to help him!?
And I don't want answers like "ew what a freak, get away from him!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Try to be accepting and supportive!. Encourage him to get professional help!. Ask him to call you the next time he gets an urge to hurt an animal instead of acting on his impulse!.
Sounds like you are a good friend!.

Unless you have mental health care experience (which sounds unlikely given your question) you really cannot do much for this guy except be a friend to him!. He needs professional help, the killing of animals is a very worrying symptom, and quickly!. Try to pursuade him to get help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you two are young, still living with at home then you should bring it to your friends parents attention!. If he/she is old then it's really up to the individual if they want help!. Just like you cannot force an alcoholic to quit drinking until they accept they have a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
try to be a good friend, help him find other ways to deal with his agression, maybe join a club together, start a hobby, something that will keep him busy alot, maybe teach him how to treat animals properly, tell him how animals can be good friends tooWww@Answer-Health@Com
