I also have epileptic and non epileptic seizures!. I am taking Trileptal for the epileptic seizures and it has helped a lot!. What other medications has your dr put you on!?IF you don't mind me asking what type of mental health issue do you have!?I have Bipolar and by research I have found that it can cause seizures!. It can also be caused by anxiety as well and taking something such as Diazapam can decrease your anxiety as well!.I hope I have helped a little but if not best of luck to you and your son!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My partner has grand mal epilepsy and he is very concerned about what you wrote!. He thinks you really need to get some more/better advice - see a specialist or if you've seen one already ask to see somebody else!. He was also very suprised that you say you are on anti-depressants because a lot of them are epileptogenic, meaning they can actually cause seizures!. Have you checked with your doctor to make sure the medication you are on does not effect your epilepsy!? Brain surgery really is a last option if nothing else works because it is so dangerous!. Please try and get more help/advice from your doctor before you make that kind of decision!. I hope things improve for you in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
