Apply direct pressure to the wound. get a clean dry cloth or gauze. put it on the cut, push down firmly, dont let up. if it bleeds through, add another pad on top of the first - do not move the cloth to see if it is still bleeding , this will dislodge any clots and cause it to bleed more...just keep adding cloths until it slows and/or stops. If you get tired of holding direct pressure on it wrap a cloth or bandage around your thigh to hold it tight and in place
if it is gaping open you might need stitches...dont hestitate to go to the ER and get stitches...
Dont be too hard on yourself...so you back slid a little. look how long you went without cutting.. start again tomorrow...thats all anyone can do. is keep trying....GL and GB

you cut your self do thats a sin harding ur if do,nt wanna tell ur mom, frieds tell jesus or god to help with ur proms

go visit a psychologist

yes you should. you need to well stop cutting(obviously) and i would advise talking to an adult about it. It is not a good habit and though it may seem it does not help anything. hope that helps. oh and i would say to check on it every couple of days make sure its clean

I would contact a professional and have them help you solve this problem. Ask yourself this: What are you gaining by cutting yourself? Does it really make you feel any better, or are you simply doing this because other kids believe it makes THEM feel better when they do it to themselves? How were you before cutting? Did you feel satisfied. You obviously want to stop this bad habit, so ask yourself a series of questions, and I highly recommend a therapist, or a doctor to help.

i used to cut alot and i should tell you to stop and get help and stuff but i cant because i would be a hypocrite because i never did BUT what you could do is use clean cold water (no soap) to help it heal uninfected use neosporin or something to help with it to not getting infected (i had that problem alot and it gets pretty nasty) then cover it like baind aids it ownt heal faster but it will stay clean

Go to the hospital you might need stitches, and have you consider getting some professional help.....

whatever helps i am about to do it but....

i cut to so i cant critisce you but try this website
http://www.selfharm.org.uk/

its got loads of info, maybe you could see your GP and get him/her to refer you on to a therapist.
