Do i have a psychological problem?!

Question: whenever i'm with a guy that starts to flirt with me or if i'm dating him, i get stressed out that he's just using me or something. i definitely have trust issues and i know this is harmful in relationships. I've never had anyone treat me badly, but just from hearing stories about bf's cheating and stuff scares me! what should i do about this? i'm afraid to get close to guys because i'm afraid they're just pretending to like me or something.

no you arent pshyco...
what your problems are that u let other's words affect your relationships..
dont listen to anyone.
just find a boy
and if he cheats...
\just say whatever and breakup
move on with life.
you cant know what will happen until u get out there and try

Most women do this. It's not uncommon not to trust the male species. See a psychiatrist and they might be able to prescribe you something to calm down and ease your worries.

I think you need to just take a chance if you really like the guy. If you have a strong feeling he will hurt you then trust your gut. If you do this with every guy maybe your just falling for the wrong ones. But please be more confident in yourself, they probably arent pretending to like you.

Why is it so scary? I mean, even if they dump you or cheat on you - so what, you move on and forget.

That by itself wouldn't be a mental illness, it sounds like trust issues. However, there are two mental illnesses I can think of that this might be a symptom of, but it's iffy.

The one I think is most likely is paranoid personality disorder. People show these symptoms:

1. Suspects, without sufficient basis, that others are exploiting, harming, or deceiving him or her
2. Is preoccupied with unjustified doubts about the loyalty or trustworthiness of friends or associates
3. Is reluctant to confide in others because of unwarranted fear that the information will be used maliciously against him or her
4. Reads benign remarks or events as threatening or demeaning.
5. Persistently bears grudges, i.e., is unforgiving of insults, injuries, or slights
6. Perceives attacks on his or her character or reputation that are not apparent to others and is quick to react angrily or to counterattack
7. Has recurrent suspicions, without justification, regarding fidelity of spouse or sexual partner

The other, which I think is less likely, is Avoident Personality Disorder. A person with this disorder has these symptoms:

1. Avoids occupational activities that involve significant interpersonal contact, because of fears of criticism, disapproval, or rejection
2. Is unwilling to get involved with people unless certain of being liked
3. Shows restraint within intimate relationships because of the fear of being shamed, ridiculed, or rejected
4. Is preoccupied with being criticized or rejected in social situations
5. Is inhibited in new interpersonal situations because of feelings of inadequacy
6. Views self as socially inept, personally unappealing, or inferior to others
7. Is unusually reluctant to take personal risks or to engage in any new activities because they may prove embarrassing

You should see a therapist if you think you have either of these. The therapist may recommend seeing a psychiatrist if he/she feels medications could help. Or you can go directly to a psychiatrist, but it's better to treat personality disorders with therapy, generally speaking.
