Benzodiazapine tollerence?!
Question: I have either but up a HUGE tollerence to benzo's or they simply dont effect me anymore.. i have taken WELL over the recomended dose and they still have no effect on me... does anyone know what the problem might be?

try mixing them together for a wow effect !!! have a martini to wash them down !!! yee haw
Tolerance is an excellent possibility. That is par for the course with benzos.
they affect everyone differently according to metabolism and heart function, what areyou using them for? try switching kinds first, then have a doc recommend an alternative.

Yes, the problem is you build up a tolerance to benzo's and it takes more and more to give the same effect. Thats why so many people become addicted. My advice would be to stop taking them altogether...get a dr to help u do this if u need to...and switch medication class. Perhaps an antideppresant would help the root of the problem more? Or therapy? Benzodiazapines were only meant for short term usage anyway. Drs overprescribe as a quick fix..but it clearly isnt.

You have the beginning of an addiction there my friend. I have gotten myself into a boat load of trouble doing what you're doing.
They just aren't good for long term treatment of anxiety.
