Can you die from lack of sleep?!
Question: I don't think death will be a direct cause but certainly a contributing factor. Your immune system will be the first to show signs of pending failure...illness will progress and your body will be too weak to sustain daily activities

I believe so
yes
Yes, your body will start to shut down.
well it depends how much your missing..
Just waking up in the mornings and having a bit of a late night is fine.. but it is a true fact that if you dont sleep for a fortnight you will die.
That is true!!
Yes there is a type of insomnia which is so severe that sufferers eventually die from lack of sleep. I watched a programme about it.
I think that you will just fall asleep before you die.
In theory, yes, but it would actually be nearly impossible to do, and certainly impossible without others keeping you awake. There are no confirmed cases of "death by lack of sleep."
As you go longer without sleep, you become more and more disoriented, and your body will eventually put you to sleep.
There is, however, a correlation between CHRONIC lack of enough sleep and heart disease. In other words, if you can't get to sleep, it might kill you in 30 years or so. :D
I suffer from a fairly bad case of insomnia my advise is to learn to meditate and to sustain it for long periods of time. Often if you haven't slept you will fall asleep during this. It's Working somewhat well for me at the moment. Better than sleeping medication side effects anyway
eventually. Sleep is very crucial to your body. Sleep is what helps you grow and store information. If you get roughly 4-5 hours of sleep you should get more and you are prolly in a pre diabetic stage
