Someone Help Me!?!
Question: Okay So I have a friend that says weird and crazy things all the time. Sometimes the things he says disturb me and when I confront him about it he says he was just joking.
Like seriously though he talks about killing masses of people, even babies and children. He threatens to kill his girlfriend to her face and grossly describes every grim detail. He often goes off on crazy rants about nothing at all and most often it leads to disturbing topics. Should I be worried? Is there anyone out there who's friends do this and you believe they are really just joking? Also he has a really bad anger problem and sometimes in his rants he just flat out scares me. He'll pace around and stuff. Sometime he even talks to himself. One night I was in my room, he was in the living room and I heard him saying..."Satan Rules, Jesus Died For A Reason" He was talking to himself. Has anyone ever experienced this? I really need advice on what to do in this situation...I live with this guy...HELP ME!

There is definitly something wrong w/ him! He obviously means the things he says, just hasn't gotten up the courage to carry them out. I would not want to live with this guy, and I think the situation would be different if he had only threatened once or twice, but this guy continually does it and then excuses it by labeling it joking. The thing about Satan rules scares me the most. (some ppl live for Satan the way Christians live for God.) Your friend needs a major heart change, and seeing him pray to Satan in your living room scares me even more. If I were you I would move somewhere else and try to slowly break off contact w/ him. If you do it at once, he might freak out and finally do one of his threats. I might try to talk to his parents to inform them of what he's doing...

If this isn't some sort of joke, then move. Now. Someone who can describe that kind of detail that vividly and to someone's face is someone who thinks about enough that you might argue they are beginning to actually fantasize about killing.

he's obviously ill or having some sort of breakdown and to me, it sounds like he's frustrated, frightened and crying out for help
I don't know how old he is so if he's young, speak to someone at school
If he's older, try and persuade him to visit his doctor or go and talk to another close member of his family about your concerns
