Admit to someone close to you that you have a problem they can help you in so many ways such as arranging for them to look after your money so that you only have the bassic amount to live on so that you dont have the money to get tempted. This support is necessary to get off the stuff.

A cannabis habit is not an addiction, more a form of obsessive behaviour. The only solution can come from you. You need to convince yourself that you don't do it any more.

Yeah, don't be a knob. If you want to stop smoking, stop. I stopped for three months recently, and I've been smoking cannabis for forty years.

You need to go at least 2 weeks without any..its hard to see the trees for the fog when you on it..Cannabis isnt addictive and theres no reason you cant give it if you want to..I did and my life is so much better now I can think straight!!

Whats the problem?

pray to Jesus Christ the LORD! only he can help you

it willl ruin your life.... my dad smoked it for years, made him paranoid and violent, wrecked his marriage and lost two of his youngest daughters. try and get help, maybe talk to a family member or friend

Simply stop. You are also physically addicted. It is like a man addicted to heroine or alcohol. The strength is within you to say enough. Just do it. The long term affects of Marijuana are severe. Cancer, loss of memory, immune deficiency, lethargy, laziness, and psychosis. Although you may feel good after the first bowl of the day, you smoke and smoke all day after that, trying to get as high as you were after the first. It is a tricky little devil but you can beat it. First thing is change the friends you associate with.

Some addictions are physical, some are mental, and most are both. Smoking pot is a mental addiction like you said, but the mental ones are some of the hardest. You didn't "fail" because you bought it, just try again next time. If you really want to quit you have to break that mental tie. Try adding up on paper how much money you've spent on it, try tying negative events to being stoned... whatever it takes to break it. You just have to REALLY want it but the fact that you admit you have a problem says a lot.

The good news is... it'll be easy because it is not an addiction it is a MENTAL habit. The only way you'll stop though is if you ACTUALLY TRULY want to... no one will be able to convince you and there will ALWAYS be reasons to smoke. If you don't want to quit, you will always find ways to justify it in your mind.

But, if you want to stop, you can stop. It's that easy. Just put your money in savings, don't go out with a group you know will be smoking, and find some other things to do with your time. It's all about making the decision and being serious about it. Goodluck!!!

I have a friend who I believe is addicted to it as well, and I actually do believe people CAN become addicted to it.
Based on what I know from my friend, he smokes to make his problems "go away", to just stop thinking about everything else that's going on and get a break from the world. So maybe if you find some other activity to replace this one that can help you "escape" from things. I know my friend started to splay soccer, and he got really into it, and wanted to stop smoking because it interfered with his health, which interfered with soccer and other activities. So if you find something else to replace smoking, it might be easier for you to quit. Good Luck! And msg me if you need someone to talk to.

Imagine how you could end up in a psychiatric unit with mental health issues such as schizophrenia....http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/...
