Don't listen to that guy, obviously he doesn't know much...considering all he said was its crap.

Each antidepressant works differently than the rest, which is why some don't work for others and some do.

Lexapro and Zoloft are the ones that deal with both anxiety and depression, like I said, that guy doesn't know much.

Just research on google about it.
I took it for 2 months..didn't work for me
Cause I went through mild psychosis....
Lets just say, my mom denied I had bipolar disorder...so the psych listened to her not me and antidepressants make bipolar disorder worse....

So just make sure you do not have rapid mood swings..like you get depressed and you also get pretty irritable....just in case look up bipolar disorder (if you get mad a lot but if you don't, then don't bother)

It takes about a week or two, so don't be discouraged that you feel it doesn't work the first two weeks. Yes, you'll have side effects but its totally normal, just remain calm.
Research "lexapro side effects", go to the official website of lexapro, also research on the success rate, coping with depression/anxiety. Look up mediatation and breathing exercises. Or look up yoga.

Maybe even take a multi vitamin because most disorders make the person have a deficiency in vitamin B, iron, magnesium, and maybe zinc. Maybe look into omega 3 suplements. I take "bayer nutritional science" with my mood stabilzer and my adderall for ADHD it helps a lot. that stuff gives an extra push to reduce depression, irritability, even blood pressure! Also if you are interested in omega 3..def. Get the stuff I said, it also have a nutrient to increase memory and concentration.

Good luck!

it makes you feel like **** for the first weeks, I used to take that for anxiety, but I stopped takin it and got somethin else,
they say its more for depression.
I never noticed any difference at all, I think its crap.
i took the 20's also.

I completely agree with him, I took 20's and it made me feel like complete ****. Horrible at first and then when it finally started working I just felt like a zombie. I've taken prozac which is a little better and I just started on paxil [hopefully it will be much better]

I take it too. It's ok, but the withdrawal symptoms are awful! It helps to restore your brain's chemical to a natural balance, so you are not depressed, or manic, it's a mood stabilizer

for the first 2 weeks i had nasuea and felt very tired ..i lost my appetite for awhile aswell but nothing major

it has affected my sleep alot but i think that has alot to do with my depression..
as i have only been on the drug for a couple weeks i cannot desribe the most accurate information but it def has helped me in stablising my moods .

i have had less really low moods and have began waking up feeling ok (unlike before when i didn't)

PLEASE give it ago no matter what u hear as everyone has differnt experiences with the drug.
always tell ur gp how it is affecting u as they know best when it comes to medication and illness

take care :)
